The Level 2 CCF has been recently revised and its resources have been re-structured to provide a more user friendly package. The course is designed to develop candidate understanding of the coaching process and show progression from technical work and skill practice through to small sided games (4 v 4). The certificate offers candidates a combination of practical experiences and theoretical tasks designed to meet the needs of players and produce quality football coaches.
Those who successfully attain this award will be qualified to lead football coaching sessions and be employable as a football coach in local junior/ senior clubs, FA Charter Standard Clubs and Schools, Local Authority Community Football programmes and Football in the Community schemes.

Who Should Enrol?
Anybody over 17 years of age with experience and participation in football.
What Will I Learn?
On successfully achieving the recognised qualification candidates will be able to:
• Develop an appreciation of the ethical coaching process
• Plan, conduct and evaluate a series of football coaching sessions
• Coach the basic skills and techniques of football
• Promote and establish positive working relationships at all levels
• Ensure the health and safety of players and others within the coaching environment
• Develop a greater responsibility for their own learning and development
• Promote the sport in a positive and constructive manner
• Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of attack and defence through the
development of practices and small sided games
Itinerary
Day 1 - 09:00-17:00 - Introduction to the qualification, principles of attack/ defence, technical skill work, small sided games
Day 2 - 09:00-17:00 - Themed coaching practices, long term player development, session planning
Day 3 - 09:00-17:00 - Candidate practice, evaluation and self reflection
Day 4 - 09:00-17:00 - Goalkeeping, coaching styles and effective communication
Day 5 - 09:00-17:00 - Candidate practice, planning and delivering coaching sessions, coaching log
Day 6 - 09:00-17:00 - Candidate practice, planning and delivering coachin sessions, portfolio work
Day 7 - 09:00-17:00 - Review and debrief, candidate action planning, course debrief
